Pekanbaru (CatraMedia) — The Faculty of Letters at Universitas Persada Bunda Indonesia (UPBI) held a Family Gathering event themed “Battle of Bonds” on Saturday (25/10/2025) at Tenayan Raya Agrotourism, Pekanbaru. The event brought together students, lecturers, and faculty leaders with the goal of strengthening relationships and building a spirit of collaboration within the academic community.
The program began at 8 a.m. with opening remarks from the hosts, Tondi Prasetyo and Annisa Putri, followed by a speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Letters, Dr. Lelly Zuyana Asril, S.S., M.Pd. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation to the committee and all participants. “I’m grateful that this Family Gathering can be held successfully. I hope the event runs smoothly and strengthens our unity so that the Faculty of Letters continues to grow and achieve international recognition,” she said.
The Head of the Study Program, Diana Zuriati, S.S., M.Pd., introduced the faculty members, followed by speeches from the supervising lecturer and ELSA organization chair, who also served as the event coordinator, Nadya Haq. She shared her hopes that the gathering would build stronger bonds among the academic community.
The event continued with a series of fun games such as Spelling Bee, Flour Relay, and Scavenger Hunt, which were enthusiastically joined by all participants. There was also an introduction session between new and senior students as well as lecturers, aimed at fostering a closer sense of community.
After the games, participants enjoyed a shared lunch and free time before the closing session. Prizes were awarded by faculty members Silvia Utami, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Jumerli Ariati, S.Pd. The Family Gathering “Battle of Bonds” concluded with a group photo session featuring all participants, lecturers, and faculty leaders.
Through this event, the Faculty of Letters UPBI hopes to strengthen unity, create a warm and inclusive campus atmosphere, and encourage collaboration among all members of its academic community.
