Jakarta, (Catra Media) — PT Pertamina (Persero) presented the 5 Years of Impact Award to 11 universities that had produced top winners of the TOP Pertamuda competition from 2021 to 2024. The award was given during the launch of the Pertamina Goes To Campus (PGTC) 2025 program, held at Grha Pertamina on Thursday (10/7).
The awarded universities include: Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, Brawijaya University, University of North Sumatra, University of Indonesia (UI), Airlangga University, Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and the State Electronics Polytechnic of Surabaya.
Pertamuda is a student business idea competition aimed at encouraging innovation in the energy sector and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since 2021, the competition has involved over 10,000 students from 696 universities across Indonesia.
Pertamina Vice President Director Oki Muraza emphasized the importance of academic collaboration in creating future energy solutions. “We hope to see the emergence of new talents who will carry on our leadership in the national energy sector,” he said.
Pertamina Corporate Secretary Arya Dwi Paramita noted that Pertamuda has provided a total of IDR 1.6 billion in funding to 140 finalists over the past five years. “Pertamuda is more than just a competition—it has become a platform for the youth to develop impactful innovations,” she stated.
Vice President of Corporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso added that PGTC is an annual initiative to empower youth to respond to the challenges of sustainable energy. “Through PGTC, Pertamina supports youth achievements through innovation and creativity,” he said.
Ferie Budiansyah, from the Business Development & Partnership unit at the University of Indonesia, expressed hope that PGTC would become a bridge connecting university innovations and research with industrial needs, especially within the Pertamina Group ecosystem. (*)
